Guys, I just recently got a new Wood R4i gold 3ds rts and I cant seem to find a way to get it to work. I downloaded wood firmware 1.64 from http://filetrip.net/dl?FhXOBrY7vI and extracted it to my root sd card.I also downloaded some games and put it on my root. After I inserted the sd card into the flashcart, I ran it on my 3ds version 9.4.0 - 21U and a white screen appeared for a few seconds but after awhile, the screen went black and I have to close the software. Can someone help me out here?

Chances are you'll need to update that card with the latest patch before using it on your 3ds. You'll need another DS or 3ds with a low enough firmware.

Most likely the website listed on your card is this http://www.r4ids.cn/r4i-download-e.htm just download the patch from there and follow the directions.

Again I can't be 100% certain but considering you just got it chances are it wasn't updated.

*EDIT* Well.. it's that or it's your SD card. Try formatting it using this tool https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/
Also try downloading wood r4 from that site instead of using the one from filetrip.

I have that card and works for me. I second everything Vanth88 says.

I have also found that every few months thinks start getting wonky and formatting the mSD card fixes it everytime. Also mak sure you copy the files back in one operation.

Edit: if you purchased it new from a reseller it SHOULD come patched but you never know. Good luck. Let us know if you need anymore help. (I have two more arriving next week). :)
