Hacking Wood R4 Favorites folder

when using the firmware it has a folder that says favorites and this is not on my micro sd so if I select the option to copy a rom and paste into into the favorites folder, is it just making a short-cut or a whole other copy, sorry if this has been posted before.

As had been said, it's not copying the NDS file. It's just placing a shortcut to the NDS file into the favorites folder. The NDS file will be run from it's original location, hence it will load the save file just like it already does.
