Is it the Crisis Core 10th Anniversary Silver PSP with Zack, Cloud and Sephiroth on the back, or the Silver Dissidia PSP without decals? Former yes, latter no.

If he hasn't updated and it came on 5.55 then its a Dissidia one. No hack for you Sodatazza until we get a downgrader for TA-088v3 motherboards.

I guess you bought 2nd hand then if it came with v5.55 OFW on it and its a Crisis Core one. Crisis Core required 3.xx if I remember rightly...I hid the UMD update option on my PSP and cba checking.

You can't hack PSP Gos and likely will never be able to (the beauty of download only gaming for Sony is that they can patch up save game exploits very easily)

The Crisis Core PSP's Mobo is a TA-088v2 - it just can't softmod batteries as it can't rewrite EEPROM's.

just buy another one, if you buy recent psp check if firmware version is not above 5.03 . at 5.03 you can use software mod, better than nothing

It works on your PSP. You just can't create Pandoras on your own, but you can use one you buy.

2002 is the same as 2000. It's just for a different region of the world or some such. What matters is the motherboard, and people in this thread already said the motherboard you have IS hackable with a Pandora.

We don't know as we haven't quite established what FF PSP you have. If it has Zack, Cloud etc. on the back then yes its hackable with a Pandora.

Thought I'd post this since odds are you'll go down that avenue. It has guides for making a Pandora (you can always buy one, of course) and for making a Magic Memory Stick. There's also a guide here to see if your PSP 2000 is hackable or not (see the "How to tell what motherboard you have, 200X only!" spoiler). Maybe those will help.

    Okeydokey, its hackable then!

PSP batteries have to be softmodded/hardmodded to make a pandora battery. Unless you have a aspare battery I suggest not making one so you'll just have to buy one. You will need a memory stick with magicgate support to make a magic memory stick (MMS) with. A magic memory stick is just a normal memory stick with files on it for the pandora recovery mode.
