Hacking Wondering about swapping PS4 motherboards..

I have a really old PS4 that has a broken HDMI port that is beyond repairable. I have another PS4 motherboard that came from a console that I found dumped somewhere. The board seems fine but when I put into the other console it doesn't seem to want to power on. I heard from somewhere that its very hard to swap board or something because of the disc drive. Is this true? I just want more knowledge on the issue or maybe to see if I can get this to work idk..

Need to be same model or it won't work.

I believe it may be the same model.. but one of the boards has writing on it while the other one doesnt ;|

If the CUH# is different you wouldn't be able to swap it, I have two phat model but different CUH# and their board layout are slightly different.

Yeah the number is just one digit higher than my other board. Shame
