Wolf'n Road Group out of the DS Scene?

WRG may have departed for good

According to the .nfo file from Lost_Regnum_CHT_Multi3_PSP-WRG, it bears a message within. Here it is as it was stated verbatum:

The individual referred to as "ZeldaSCZ" is a member of another dumping group, 2CH. Recently, on the No-Intro Forum, said individual took the time to give criticism to WRG concering Super Robot Taisan W as well as 3 other titles. While the .nfo does direct comments towards ZeldaSCZ, it is speculative that this group rivalry has little to do with WRG's decision to make the preceding announcement.

Could this be true? Is this an April Fool's Joke a month early? If it is indeed real, and WRG are no longer an active contributor to the NDS Scene, then it should be considered a significant loss. Besides releasing over 280 NDS ROMs, WRG has been responsible for several key applications, such as the WRG NDS-GBA Dumper and Noflashme Lite. Thanks for all that you have done and good luck in the future.

Ack! Now who will dump/re-pack all the Japanese games no one cares about. [IMG]

Nah, seriously. Respect to them. They did well! Maybe now we'll see Caravan return to the NDS scene?

And, it was only like 4 days ago that I started to buy NDS games (excluding imports) again instead of DLing all of them. Yeah, this is defiantly a huge blow if it's true as they dumped 25% of all DS games.

lol @ "I invite any standing member of WRG to address this matter with a response to give them an unrestricted opportunity to explain in detail why they have decided to leave the NDS Scene should they so choose"

why would they be interested discussing their personal matters on this quite public website?

That is their choice. They are not required to do so, and if you read how I wrote it, it is an invitation and nothing more. I displayed my appreciation for their past works and wished them well. This is how you do news posting. At least here, I got to be more sincere than some other times.

Not that I imagine for one minute they will be reading this but I'd just like to say a big "Thankyou" to WRG for all their past releases on the DS front - they've given me a lot, and will be missed.

But our loss is the PSP/Wii's gain.

I think they could care less. There is a similar attitude on nforce. People there actually think that scene groups respect sites like nforce and gbatemp. In reality, they don't.

It's nice that release groups do their job in dumping games. Some even a month in advance but when it gets into petty squabbles like this it's just stupid. Several years in the future, no-one will exactly care that so and so group released a game early. Then again, if a group like WRG drops out, there will always be another one to come along and take their place. What group doesn't want to have the bragging rights in telling that they dumped the new Zelda game for the DS?

Next week on the soap opera "Scenes of Our Lives", the drama continues when Group 1 writes some flames in their newest .nfo directed towards Group 2! Don't miss it!

And it turns out that one of the member from Group 1 is in love with the member from Group 2 but alas their love must be hidden for their clan are at war.... and it turns out he was actually her long lost brother with amnesia..... called Enrique.

Someone will dump games anyway. When a group takes its ball and goes home it's usually just because they want a 20 page thread somewhere lamenting their demise.
