So I have just ordered a WODE and plan to mainly use it for the game ripping function. The reason for this is that my I.S.P gives me 7 crappy gigs a month and I cant download any wii iso's because we barely manage to keep under 7 gigs as it is. getting a better plan isn't an option as there is no broadband line to my house so I am forced to use wireless internet. Where can I get the games to rip without having to buy them?

There are a lot of ways but gamefly and some other renting stores are fairly cheap. Your better off asking your friends for their discs.

Yeah, borrowing from a friend or renting is your best bet.

Well this was dumb of you. You can rip games entirely in software. But ... hooray for profiting off of other people's failures.

That made absolutely no sense to me. Sorry, but can someone tell me what he is trying to say?

Why the heck would you buy a Wode to rip games when you can do that with GX Loader??????

    That's plain dumb....

I'm sure other USB loaders also support ripping...

PS: Wanna buy a bridge - it's in excellent condition - might need a fresh coat of paint....

It made no sense for the same reason you bought a WODE; you appear not to know anything.

Most of these responses are not helpful. However, the one above is probably the best.
I use CFG loader and ive never downloaded a game.
(ok i lied but never figured out how to get it on my HDD)

    Heres what i do.
Borrow from friends if they have something i want.
Rent when there is something i dont want to own but i want that none of my friends have.
If i really like it? I buy it and play it off my HDD.

Also, Ive heard Gamefly is really expensive. Just what ive heard.

most people that buy wode fear softmods for them its easier to just use in region games and stock Wii.

thats like asking for an ISO, but hey, you could rent a game and rip it, it might not be free and illegal - but still cheaper than buying for 50€.

    I love my WODE [IMG]

Can people who are calling me stupid hold on a second. I bought the Wode to not only rip games, but also because I am inexperienced with wii hacking and softmodding and did not want to damage my wii. I also bought it so that I could play GC games and because I did not want to face further issues with games down the track. Those are just a few reasons why I bought it, and I said that I would mainly use it for game ripping because I will, but I also will use and wanted the other features + ease of use

Thank you to Rasas, ConJ, Smashbrew, bortzanator, wiisel and manfrancegermany for actually helping me out instead of insulting me and not answering my question.

I second the motion to use CleanRip. I have a WODE, I would not swap it out for anything. I do not wish to go down the path of full soft modding etc BUT I strongly recommend that you install the HBC and use CleanRip.

    A few things to note:

    1. WODE Full ISO to NTFS = about 1hr 45min for Single Layer
    2. WODE Full ISO to FAT32 / EXT3 = about 25min to 27min
    3. CleanRip Full ISO on NTFS = 13min
    - Special Notes here - must be using HBC 1.0.8 installed on IOS58 for these speeds in ripping via CleanRip

As to your original question places like BlockBuster, Network and other such video stores in Australia are places you can hire games. For games that you can't hire you can but form eb games or GAME and return back to them free of charge with a 100% money back guarantee within 7 days... (This way I do not really agree with but it is a way all the same).

Borrow games from friends or even their HDD.... [IMG]
