I just playing Jump SuperStars (J) and Yoshi Touch and Go (U) - and both times I tried to play with my friend, his DS would act like it would work..... Both top and bottom screens turned white - the top screen displaying the Nintendo logo - and then it just froze on those screens. Nothing happened and he'd be forced to do turn off his DS. Mine DS would either stop as well or give me a message saying lost connection or the other person dropped out or isnt responding or whatever.

I did manage to wirelessly play Sonic Rush with him - but he has a legit Sonic DS game, so it wasn't "download play", where I would have to send the game data to his DS for him to be able to play with me.

Now, does anyone know what the problem might be?

I believe trimmed the data on the Yoshi Touch and Go, might that be the problem?

But for Jump Superstars, I put it on my micro sd card with the "safe" option, since the game wouldn't work with/on my M3 Lite otherwise.

Download play will not work at all with backup games. In order for you to use download play, the receiving DS must be flashed. Either that or purchase the actual games [IMG]

Some games do work when sending to unflashed ds. I've tested Tetris DS, Bomberman, Brain Age and they all worked.

    I'm using EZ4.

Ask yourself how exactly that would make a difference...

And while on YET ANOTHING TOPIC about download play, I have the two ultimate solutions for you all. Flash all receiving DS systems or buy the game. End of story, thank you.

im going to assume the answer is no
because it wont even check that the passme3 is in there
    but has anyone tried?

because i noticed that after a game has loaded
if i take out my passme3 the game will freeze
that leads me to believe that its always looking in there... but thats not to say that it will be doing that for a downloaded game.

Having a Passme in a DS makes no difference, the receiving DS still needs to be flashed.

i think he means passcar 3, aka nopass. so it might ,seeing as it has rs codes. BUT it really doesnt matter, because its like saying having a retail cart would do it. i might be wrong though (hope i am)

so, even if the other person has an M3 and passcard, they couldnt do download play? (not like it would matter, since they probably have the rom anyways)

If you want to do download play, then the receiving ds has to boot to the menu to download. Thus bypassing the passcard. You dig? No can workie.
