Sometimes when I wake up at night, I find my laptop on. This may also happen in the morning, or any time, really, when my laptop's in sleep mode.
When it does wake up, it goes back to sleep after ~5 minutes. Any ideas on how to fix this?

'powercfg -lastwake' output:
Code:
Wake History Count - 1
Wake History [0]
  Wake Source Count - 1
  Wake Source [0]
    Type: Wake Timer
    Owner: [SERVICE] \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Windows\System32\svchost.exe (SystemEventsBroker)
Owner Supplied Reason: Windows will execute 'NT TASK\Microsoft\Windows\UpdateOrchestrator\Reboot' scheduled task that requested waking the computer.

In the past, it turned out some process (Windows Media Center) had setup a wake even which I only found out by going through every scheduled task.

Another option is to disable anything which can turn the computer on besides the power button e.g. WOL, some options in the advanced power settings, etc.

Open Device Manager. Go to the Power Management tab of your mice, keyboard, network cards, and any other input devices, and un-tick the box that allows the computer to wake up. Hit Apply and OK. Your issue should be resolved. It worked for me when my tower kept waking itself up and staying on all night for no reason. Now it sleeps until I hit the power button. (KB+Mouse cant wake it up anymore, which is good since I also have cats)

Is this Windows 10? Does this usually start Wednesday night? Have you tried setting active hours to your sleep hours?
