Download Windows 8 Consumer Preview - Test it out.... Best use a virtual PC if you have access to the software

Download from here - http://windows.micro...dows-8/download

Wait but isn't it possible to dual boot?
I did that with a dev preview...
Yes, you can dual-boot.

Then what's up with all these sites going crazy over the thought of dual booting, it's simple enough for me...

My guess would be because it uses a GUI. GUI boot operations are usually less secure than text mode operations.
I'm pretty sure that I have switched back to text boot by setting windows 7 as main boot.

Well, after a day of use I'm less than impressed. Metro UI adds next to nothing, most of the Metro apps are slow if they work at all (why bother including the mail app at all?), and while the 'classic' Aero desktop remains usable, the lack of a proper start menu (short of installing 3rd-party software and doing more tweaking) is a slap in the face for people who want to get stuff done without wading through menu after menu of Metro crap.

I might change my tune a bit if XBLA/Xbox Indie games become playable on my PC with this Xbox Live integration, but I'm not holding my breath.
