Gaming Windows 7: Where did my file extension options go?

On XP it was My Computer / Tools / Folder Options, and in there, I could change an extension to open with something else. Say mp3s are opening in Windows Media Player, but I want them to open in Winamp.

Right click a file, properties, there's an open with section and a change button. Click that. Unless. you're talking about something else...?

yeah but what if he wants to change the the icon it displays? or configure multiple programs it can be opened with if you right click? afaik you cant do this stuff like you could in xp in win 7.

Ummm...no.

If you want the multiple options, you get it by simply do the right-click thing and not checking open by default. Everytime you right click afterward, the option to select which program will be there.

Or...you can go to control panel and then default programs then associate file type and dictate what you want as default for what extension as well as any additional programs that will show up when you right-click open with...
