Oh ok i see I downloaded the 32-bit one. I’ll try it now!

I tried with the x64 version and the same error pops up
I haven't really been paying much attention to this thread while I wait for hardware specs and hardware IDs, but if you already have SP1 installed, it's not going to want to install.

1. wouldn't running the .exe installer require internet?
2. Edit: I will use windows 7 to work because I will return to the school soon, and windows 10 to play and mess up with. That way if I ruin windows 10 my work is kept safe in windows 7
You really should back up any important data you have to an extra hard drive. Also Many times ruining one could ruin both depending on the situation

Yes since it never ticked “installing updates”

can i install the update directly from windows 10 or do i need to install it from windows 7?

It has to be installed on specific Windows version the update is associated with, like @Lacius suggest it is best to not use Windows 7, as extended support for Windows 7 ends Jan 14 2020, If you really want really wants to use Windows do take note of the end of extended support date. Windows 10 automatically pick up your device driver and install them for you, a lot easier than compare to Windows 7.

If you break your system you won't lose your files unless you broke it by deleting everything

I don't think there's a problem with using it after Micro$oft kills it if you're careful and don't do dumb stuff
I used windows xp for a few years after it died and when I was using windows 10 I disabled all updates

I told you early on to get your drivers from your device manufacturer's website. Here they are.

Thanks for both of the drivers. Now I am able to connect to both wifi and Ethernet in windows 7, but windows 10 will refuse to detect WiFi now (it detects ethernet)
