I was talking about the open source driver and fglrx, not the Windows driver. Anyway, yeah, you really need a new rig. If the newer Catalyst drivers crash that much, your card is entirely too old. However, AMD does release legacy drivers for both Windows and Linux.

Well, this is the most stable I was able to find It just barely works on Win8. I wouln't think about win10 compatibility, I guess it won't work, because both the drivers and win10 are shiet

It's better than 8, and slowly becoming better than 7 with the introduction of features like this. Now if they'd only add support for more filesystem reading and writing...
Ye, if they implement this kind of stuff, they should also implement native ext# filesystem driver, and the ability to not f*** the Linux bootloader over when installing windoze

Woah, slow down! I'm never gonna even download the iso file of win10! It's not installed on my Potato Cooker
I only have a broken Win7, a not used Win8, a 0byte space left Ubuntu 11.10, a raw MBR partition table on my second partition with (VirtualBox'd) WinExp in it, Lubuntu 15.10 as my main OS I'm using right now, and 32bit Lubi 14.04 for my ~12yr old laptop.
Also, yes, a floppy drive 'cause the MBR always gets corrupted, and it just prints a shitton of "99" divided by spaces on the screen :/
But my cousin uses win10, so I might give it a try a few months later
