Hacking will updating my wii to 4.3 ruin my drivekey?

I need to update my wii inorder to play kirby epic yarn. i'm using a drivekey to play wii backups, will updating my wii stop my drivekey from working? please help

It will stop asking for updates after you completed the step: Priiloader(first hack yar wii etc.)

Why do you have to update?
My recommendation is enable priiloader hacks to stop disc updates, then if the game crashes you most likely need to update an IOS, to do that firstly search GBAtemp/create a new thread. Then use NUS downloader to get the IOS, install the wads and it should all work.
