Will there ever be a "sdcard-vita memory card adapter"?

Like either a modified vita card to support micro sdcards or a vita card with a "circuit band" thingy that goes between the vita card and a micro sd adapter to support custom size normal sd/sdxc cards?

well...the entry port for the vita memory is even smaller than a microsd size so.....the "circuit band" will have a cord that's even smaller?...forget about it

as for the first (meaning a flashcard like gateway)...also for the vita game cartridge the problem is the size (without mentioning the swindle of flashcard teams....)it's not so much bigger then a micro sd so that too is a bit unlikely

no...if vita hack would be made it's probably gonna be another cfw like psp...and you're gonna need original sony memory cards

You mean like this product that literally existed and was in circulation for the PSP before they figured out how to miniaturize it? :P

Rear touch pad. First of all, it's barely used in games, secondly, there's a whole lot of space in the grip area of the system, and lastly, nobody says the compartment has to be on the back. We've moved on from full-sized SD cards - a microSD compartment could very well be at the top or bottom of the machine and it wouldn't be in the way. My point was that it's not an outlandish idea - clearly someone released an adapter exactly like the one described by the OP.

my point was that it is outlashing given the sizes and the fact that we're talking about a vita.
and a microsd compartment...that too has many problems of realization if you look at the whole picture it resolves some issues but creates some other

I really can't say that 10MB's is really fast at all xD All my memory sticks (64gb for my phone, 64GB for my psp, 32GB for my 3ds and 128GB for my tablet) all have up to 20MB's write and 40MB's read. So 10MB's kinda suck :P

Crap.. Cause it costs like 120 bucks just for a 64GB vita card, and their'e not exactly that fast either :/

Silithas, this product was made when these kinds of speeds were dreamy, it's been discontinued ages ago in favour of the CR-5400, which was also discontinued by now. :P

Heh ok :P But anyways, it seems like i have to invest in a 64GB from amazon. They costs around 100 bucks there, and adds up to 120/130 bucks since it's 29% import fee and other bullshit for importing over 30 bucks.

Yeah, and i also see that they have a friendly invoice option, but i would have to ask on norwegian forums of how "friendly invoice" have worked for them and if their orders came through when the price they got them shipped as was below 25 bucks :P

Haha yeah, i remember when i wanted a smiliar one but with the circuit thingy from a ms pro duo to a normal sdcard adapter :P But today i got a ms pro duo micro sd adapter for that (damn i'm glad those still exists!)

I don't see why not I like the idea of a PSVITA flash cart but who will do the honors of giving Vita owners their first flash cart ?

I think it can be very smaller. the flashcard will have to be outside the gamecard, but can be done small and fiting the dimensions of the vita, i think. Or like a paperclip behind the portable.

there should be enough room inside the vita, that an internal adapter would be possible.

I can find a 128gb micro SD with lifetime warranty, indestructible yadda yadda for 75Eur. If I don't want it to be indestructible I can find it for way less and still original.

You know Sony fucked up when their competitor can store an unlimited amount of storage for games that rarely exceed 1GB. I have a 32GB card and it's STILL not full after 3+ years of digital purchases. A Vita, on the other hand...

Primary reason is because 3DS game renders at 400 x 240 (top) and/or 320 x 240 (bottom) instead of 960 x 544 for Vita. Much smaller rendering resolution = smaller files.

It's more of a matter of texture size, model complexity, file types etc. - you could render a polygon/quad with a 32x32 texture on it at any resolution and that won't make the texture itself any bigger or smaller as far as filesize is concerned. Resolution has little to do with the size of games - quality is a different matter. ;)

*Don't know what kind of shaking-my-head-gesture to emote at this.*
Sony's primary assets are in cinema, not gaming. The proprietary format is working as intended. Eventually, after enough PS4 units sell in all of the regions, 128 GB cards may be possible. Piracy and looking at how the use of aftermarket products are damaging our systems is our number one concern. We are working at making sure that participating countries get AT&T legally for the bundles and that is very complicated.

Do you remember the M2 Micro? They discontinued it once they decided to make the exact same card for a different hardware. The highest they produced is the 16gb.
Space shouldn't be an issue, especially for a handheld that needs it more than any other. And when 128gb vita cards will be available, you can buy a 512gb card for the same price.
