    ..if I have 5 files on the root of the card(folders included)?Or is it too much?

    Nope it will not freeze. I don't remember the limit but i know it's well over 5. Just always try to keep your root at the max of 10. More than that may cause minor slowing.

    I have 5, It doesn't freeze but it may cause problems soft-reseting a few times.

    As far as I know, having 5 or 10 files on the root won't affect the DSTT (it won't cause it to freeze, slow down, or have problems with soft-reset). I believe the limit is probably upwards of 25, but you want to keep the number of files on the root as small as possible because if you reach that limit it will cause the DSTT to crash.
