I'm pretty sure that hackmii thing is fake, has anyone else been charged that much after hbc was discovered? - The email is fake for sure, spelling mistakes, bad punctuation and sentences that sound like the lines of a bad 'b' movie. Just send it in, i'm sure you won't get fleeced
I would like Nintendo to overcharge me just because I have HBC and a wiikey in my wii. In this country I live in, if I buy something. I own it and I can do whatever I want with it.
So if they say it will cost 75€ (example) it will just cost me 75€. Okey they might remove my Wiikey chip and clean my NAND but sure thing. Not much I can do about it. They will most likely blame the Wiikey for the problem and they "remove" it to make sure the Wii works.

That's fucking nonsense. Yeah, Nintendo is reportedly the only console maker to actually make a profit on each system (whereas the others sell their systems at a loss which they hope to recoup from software sales), but that profit certainly isn't anywhere near what you're claiming is the 'truth'. Your 'truth' sounds more like an uneducated fantasy. Just out of curiousity and to see just how far into fantasyland you've gone, what's your definition of 'plenty'?xzxero said:

aha, i was just tryin to say that nintendo's ballin!
one wii with some homebrew isn't going to affect them in any way

I had to lie and say the update bricked it. I was expecting them to charge me as I lost the receipt and I got it from a second hand shop but they didn't which was nice of them.
