Hacking Will my gateway work with an imported new 3ds?

I am planning to import a new 3ds, and I was wondering if my gateway will work on it? Also, will I be able to transfer my cias from the emunand of my old 3ds xl onto the new 3ds if gateway use is possible?

With SaveDataFiler (google is your friend) You should be able to.

You need to keep the game. You need to do the exploit (Which is booting the game, either choosing a save file, or just going through 2 menus, both are easy) every time you try to boot into EmuNand/Gateway Mode

I'm not sure, haven't looked into the nvram installer.

It will work, but if you ever uninstall it by mistake it's always safer to keep the exploited game, as the prices are never sure.

You don't need to keep the game if you do the things the right way:

• Install the old system settings menu CIA
• Install the ds card whitelist CIA in order to be able to use the blue card
• Install the DS based nvram installer to use it with your DS card
• Install the nvram hack using the DS card every time it is wiped out
• Access Gateway Hack using DS profile
• Profit

If you're dealing with ebay, try asking for the first few digits of the serial number. They are a good indicator of what FW it came with.
If its an import store, you'll just have to take a chance.
