Doomer thread, don't keep reading if you're not in the mood. Before someone asks, yes I'm ok, I don't think about this all the time.

I wonder if some parts of the world will be affected by global warming to the point that unpredictable catastrophes completely destroys the bound of society and forces people to live in a Mad Max scenario without the cool factor. This already has happened to some degree, but I wonder if it will become the norm in the future.

Can you imagine, living enough to have to let go of all your comfort, and having to be ready to kill people you don't even know without a second thought?

Or what if the outcome is a more subtle misery, where there is a society but you depend on air conditioners to live?

A lot of places already depend on air conditioners to live, and they seem to be doing fine.

I assume if that situation happened people would move away from said place. Not like there isn't plenty of unused space on the planet.

Certain countries have collapsed to some extent. We call them failed states. I doubt we'll ever see a day where the whole world becomes like the western Roman Empire did in the 400s.

I don't even have an iphone. All I do with a phone is text and call family and friends and a shitty phone from several years ago was good enough.
