Homebrew Will I lose my game and saves if I install CFW now?

My 2dsxl is running stock firmware and Im dying to get CFW to play cia games. However, I have luigis mansion purchased on it and installed. If I install CFW now, will it change or do anything to the current state of the game? will I be able to play it through CFW as normal? im a noobb

The way Luma works on 3DS doesn't change anything in the firmware itself, the current exploit (b9s) messes with the boot process is all, all your games and saves will stay as they are. https://3ds.hacks.guide/ for instructions how to install CFW.

you can install it and keep your save file there are all kinds of info on the page about it.

Also its a lot faster to use NTRBoot/flashcart $20 and a magnet to hack your system plus NTRBoot can unbrick if you brick your system.

Ok, so I tried the guide with a R4SDHC Dual-Core 2017 from R4isdhc.com.cn. However, the flashcart wont do the job. In ntr boot menu, I select r41 gold then inject, (cuz the other options wont work, R4isdhc family option gives a blank black screen on the bottom) after some 4 writings, it says its done. I exit and the card is still readable and it wont boot into B9S. This card was to support ntrboot, as said by many and the website it self,,,what am I doing wrong?

The card is filled with NDS games, its a 4gig sd card. 3.0gb used.

I'm no expert, so don't take it from me, are you sure it the flashcart works with B9S?

Hey guys, I used a R4i Gold RTS revolution card from nds-card for ntrboot install. I still have my original purchase all safe and sound, working properly with the saves present too!
