Take a look at the post at the top of this page

Oops - Didn't answer your question! Yes NandGames Folder containing loader.dol to the root of USB or SD and cIOS 249 r17 is fine (even preferred as thats what I use so I know it works OK
smile.gif
)

If the trouble you are having is that the USB loader sees the ISO's but won't load them, make sure the settings for each ISO forwarder is loaded with Hermes 222 v4 (The newer versions of USB loaders won't load them with cIOS249)

The isos are "seen" fine, they just reboot the wii. I didn't use Hermes, I'll give that a shot.

Thanks!

Drag 'n' Drop is added to v3.4
smile.gif

So if you just have the odd file to do, just drop it onto Your Wad2ISO shortcut and save a click or two

v4.0 is out - 5X faster and 1/3rd of the size.

No longer having to wait for windows to appear from support applications, this will probably be of interest to those that had problems with the older versions
smile.gif

Check it out - maybe there won't need to be any later versions

What's the best cIOS rev to use? I was using rev19 but it doesnt work with emulated nands (i was only able to get it to work with real nand)..

Also, I'm assuming when this is using the emulated nand, then you cant exit out of a game, correct? Have to do a full restart?

I use rev 17. This version of Triiforce is supposed to be OK with rev 18 (but I haven't tried it).
I load all my disc based games with cIOS 250 (from rev 19), works great for me.

This uses real or emu nand.

When I exit a Wiiware Game I press home, then choose Return to Wii Menu (from emu or real nand).

I use Priiloader, so resetting the Wii does a warm reset straight back to the USB loader, ready to choose another game.

If your Wii / emu nand is set up correctly, you can exit channel games from real or emu nand just fine (all the ones I've tried anyhow) ;

If you search through these pages there is an easy fix for the black-screen freeze after pressing Return to Wii Menu from a game running in emu nand

Thanks, found it! Going to test it shortly.

Two more questions if anyone can answer them..

First, it says Put R19 in Slot 250 and put R17 back in 249? Where do we find this option in the installer?

Second... It sucks but I have to use 2 computers to do all this.. WAD2ISO doesn't work on my Windows Vista, so I have to use my 2nd WinXP computer, but on that one, ShowMiiWads gives me the message "Application failed to initialize properly" then closes.. Is anyone getting both these to work on either WinXP (SP3) or WinVista?

Wad2ISO runs fine on both those versions of Windows, (I just checked)
smile.gif

With Vista and Windows 7, if you haven't properly got UAC under control, you will probably need to run it as Administrator

As far as ShowMiiWads goes, type Google ShowMiiWads in the address bar of your browser, the first link will be this ShowMiiWads - WiiBrew
Click that link and you will find a section called Usage

The first line will answer your question

This means you need to install the .NET framework (2.0 or 3.5... I don't remember... just install both)

Is there anyway to tell if certain options are being used after the files are made? Like if I have cios250 selected instead of 249, how do I know it's actually using 250?

Also, are there any WiiWare/VC titles that require special options?

This is mostly a Hit-And-Miss for me.. Doing alot of work and testing, and seems like for every game that I get working, I'll get 2 or 3 that wont work (especially VC titles).

Working: Art of Balance, Critter Roundup, Picturebook Games Popup Pursuit, Party Fun Pirate..

Not Working: Alien Crush Returns, Bit.Trip Runner, Blockbreaker Dlx, Blood Beach, California Games (VC), Summer Games 2 (VC), Excitebike (VC), Cruisn USA (VC).

Taking a little time to read previous posts here and on relevant threads for Triiforce, will answer all your questions.

If Wad2ISO produces an ISO with the correct gameID / Name and Loader.dol in a folder called NandGames, then it worked correctly (that's all it does!).
wink.gif

There's no magic to this, Triiforce r78 (renamed to Loader.dol) has been modified to receive options in-line, in addition to selecting from the Triiforce GUI manually.
Titles that do not work with Triiforce in emu nand, install to real nand and then they work with the ISO forwarder
smile.gif

Wad2ISO cannot affect game compatibility - it only produces shortcuts, that will launch working titles that you have already installed correctly.
Three of the titles you quoted as not working, I have personally launched with these ISO forwarders, your problem is not with Wad2ISO.
Do a little research into Triiforce (not Triiforce mrc, as that may have different compatibility), install your titles noting the settings used when you proved them working with Triiforce rev 78. Then apply those settings when you make your ISOs.

Game incompatibility issues that you believe you have found should be reported to the Triiforce devs.
I have no affiliation with Triiforce development and such reports are wasted here.

Ok, I've got everything working, fixed the "Exit To Wii" using the options above that Tristar pointed out, now I have one last problem that I hope someone can help with..

I have some VC titles that work but still hang when you try to return to Wii. I listed the games below. I noticed one similarity with all these games. On ShowMiiWads, they ALL have an IOS Flag: IOS9.

Any ideas on what I might try to fix these? It's my last issue with the forwarders (with the exception of online play)

Neither issue is anything to do with the forwarders, both are side effects of using emu nand / Triiforce

Could i suggest you to use isotociso.exe (Hermes). As you know, in case to do several forwarders at the same time the size of all will be masive. Using isotociso between each forwarder will save many space.

Isotociso is under gpl2 and moreover, i suppouse Hermes coul suport it.

Thanks, now the programs works faster!!

Thanks for the suggestion - I have looked at the various formats available and CISO, although reporting a smaller file size to Windows, actually occupies more disk space (~6MB) than these sparse ISOs.
The ISOs produced occupy less than 1MB of disk space but report the correct size for legitimate Wii DVD (I am not really worried what size the Image is, only what disk space it will need until it is installed.
They are designed to be a temporary item, once they are installed to your USB drive there is no point in keeping them, as you have the Wad file to produce them again anytime you need them.
wink.gif

I produced ISOs for 75 wadfiles and the total disk space used was approx 68MB - I don't think any other format will reduce that disk usage
smile.gif
(Except for WDF but I don't think many programs support it yet)
If a format emerges that occupies less disk space than the temporary ISOs (and also recognised by popular WBFS Managers) then I'll probably switch to it.

EDIT
Having discovered how to produce ISOs that report a size related to data content, instead of the legal Wii DVD size, from the next update, the ISO's will still be ~1MB when they are produced (as they are still sparse images) but if you move them (which results in them no longer being sparse), they will only occupy 2-3MB of disk space
