Well, he can't get into trouble legally for buying it since the store put it there, the store would be in legal trouble. But unless Nintendo gets involved and wants it back; and he declines. Theeeen, he's legally in trouble for buying it.

What does it have to do the way I was raised? There is no law against buying something on an established store, except illegal substances.
There is no law against buying something out of date! It's called a commercial agreement between parties, and I didn't signed it
If I go to a store and buy some games, and one of those happen to be an early release, how would I even know? Games are not illegal, I'm not doing anything ilegal. If the store signed a commercial agreement about a release date, which is not a law, is just an agreement between two parties, I'm not breaking anything.

theres no legal issue with breaking the embargo. your not going to get sued for it. they can take down your video, but legally, they have no ground to sue.

there is no copyright violation in posting screenshots of in game assets. all ninty can do is request the pictures be removed. they cannot sue you in any way for such actions. as long as he is not ripping data and providing that data in its entirety. if he were to rip a spritesheet, and then upload the entire spritesheet (not a screenshot), then its a different story.

The person in question would get in trouble if they tried to give away, lend or resell the product before the street date is reached. There is isn't a law that would throw them in jail or placed a fine on them for buying a product early. A Terms of Services and terms of sale are not a law. They are a legal agreement for when you buy or use a service. Legal agreement and a law are two separate things. At most NoA could ban the buyer from using any online features the title would have for playing it early. That's a moral area but it would fully be in Nintendo's right to do so.

I think I'm gonna play Majora's Mask again. I've never beaten it for the 2nd time, funny since it's my favorite game of all time. Or maybe Links Awakening, I liked that game but never beat it.
