Hello everyone, for some reason I have terrible stick drift on the left stick of my classic controller pro, this also happens in WiiSX and Wii64 too for what it's worth, and never happens on any official Nintendo products. It also never happens when connected to my PC via WiiinuPro, and it is a first party Nintendo classic controller and Wii remote. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks

hello. Is it possible in the PS1 emulator to map the PS2 controller (I use a gamecube to PS2 controller adapter on the Wii) so that all the buttons are operational when playing on the Wii like the original controller is? I am referring more than anything to the four rear triggers. thank you. all the best

I had a similar adapter, the answer is no, the GameCube controller standard just has less overall buttons than the PS2 and will always be 2 buttons short. Classic controller is the way to go

@popckorn in other words: better get a PS2 controller to Wii adapter.

@SaulFabre
About the dithering options, I think this answers it.

(Yes, I have an old, low resolution monitor.)

Latest WiiStation builds as of August 11, 2024

main
branch compiled until https://github.com/xjsxjs197/WiiSXRX_2022/commit/a99a7cffc59906c64b8c675ff5cd0ca2308ce610

What's new:
- Update Lightrec to latest until git e610a95 (pcercuei)
- Merge PCSX-ReARMed's TurboCD logic, replacing the old code of Fast Load. Now Fast Load function will use the TurboCD code from PCSX-ReARMed, which has the same puropse: speed up loading times.
- Update libCHDr, ZStandard, and PCSX-ReARMed latest updates.

opengxGpu branch (with all changes from main) compiled until https://github.com/saulfabregwiivc/WiiStation/commit/0f1ad7cff275f5d49f1ca155afb05c6c509d8354

All changes from main branch, plus some changes until this point (commit) mentioned above for reflect the new changes in the upcoming GPU GX plugin, based in OpenGX.
Still imperfect graphics. Textures broken; some games won't even render at all.
DON'T TOUCH any GPU option when using this build.

Please test these builds, thanks ;)

IMPORTANT: DELETE ALL YOUR OLD SETTINGS AND settingsRX2022.cfg FILES BEFORE TESTING ANY BUILD!

v3.2 has the New GPU plugin before xjsxjs197 added both GPUs to be selected as an option in the GUI.
Also, good point with that game.

The TurboCD functionality works like a charm! From my limited testing it's at least 50 percent faster than the old fast load. In most Capcom fighting games it's now around 2 seconds in between loading rounds, in Marvel vs Capcom it's even as short as one single second. Incredible! This is definitely the way to play arcade ports to the PS1, now the loading doesn't kill the action.

Edit: Further testing results, loading a new match takes just slightly over a second on Tekken 3 - with loading speeds like this who even needs the arcade version anymore! On some games like Bloody Roar 1 and Dead or Alive there's legitimately no loading times at all, it goes straight into a match.

I also tried Lego Island 2 just out of curiosity to see how one of the slower loading games fares:
First loading screen takes 3 seconds to load
Second loading screen takes 4-5 seconds
Third loading screen takes 14-15 seconds

For a combined total of 23 seconds from launching the game to jumping straight into gameplay. A massive improvement over the original 2 minutes it took I believe to load without any fast loading. Most other games with average loading times will generally fare around 3 or 4 seconds. Also I did test Shang Tsung morphing in MKT and it's unfortunately still not loading fast enough to not pause the game briefly :P though we can probably chalk that up to poor coding on Midway's part.

The Fast load option in this latest version does not seem to break games. For example, Devil Dice was unplayable if you had this option enabled and now it works perfectly.

Also the new gpu soft has improved for those games that presented graphic errors especially in the videos, now Lunar 1 cinematics are seen correctly. The same can be said for Jade Cocoon, although for this last game you will still need Wiisx beta 4.0 to be able to save correctly in the memory from the game itself.

Otherwise, very good update. Thank you very much.

Oddly enough, SOTN has the infamous stuttery framerate scrolling back in full force on New GFX, whereas on Old GFX it works like charm with rarely any of those issues from past versions, all in lightrec, haven't tried the new GPU build yet.

TurboCD does break certain Capcom games like Jojos Bizarre Adventure, Rival Schools and Pocket Fighter. The previous fast load code didn't but I measured it and the old fast load almost didn't make a difference in loading times whatsoever versus regular loading. 6 seconds in rivals schools to load a match with the old fast load versus 7 seconds with regular loading.

All Final Fantasy games work perfectly in Wiistation. The NTSC versions all work fine and the PAL versions patched to bypass the protection as well. In fact I use the FF8 and 9 PAL patched games and I have no errors of any kind.

Check that you are not using a very old version of Wiistation or do a clean install of the latest version.

Hello guys I'm in a predicament, I tried wiisx beta 4.1 for games like fear effect and koudelka and they apparently work fine there, but my GameCube controller won't emulate DualShock 2, so no analog and vibration, I know this is not the thread for this but I can't find any info, maybe someone here can help???

Latest WiiStation build as of September 18, 2024

What's new:
I also included my changes for remove the support for CCD, IMG, SUB since they are problematic on WiiStation.
(suggested by @ssjkakaroto)
https://github.com/xjsxjs197/WiiSXRX_2022/pull/262

Please test this new build, thanks ;)

It is probably the best archival format though for PSX games.

I never used this format on this port of pcsx-r. Though undoubtedly it will affect libcrypt games. And even though I do not own any games that use this protection, some people probably will not want to have to modify/patch their (clean 1:1) game(s) to be able to play them on the emulator.

WiiStation since a few builds ago it has support for loading .SBI files for PAL games which are LibCrypt encrypted.
I just removed the function for load IMG, CCD and SUB files.
SBI loading function remains untouched, so you should still be able to play LibCrypt games if you have the correct .sbi files.
