Hi, my both my Wiimote's only work well upto about 2.5m from the sensor, before the cursor start shaking wildly. is this the normal sort of distance for this to start happening (i have sensitivity at maximum (to the far right on the bar). thanks for any help

Make sure there is no infrared light obscuring the infrared from the sensor bar (for example, the sun). When I have the window blinds open (my window is right behind my tv), the infrared light from the sun makes the cursor shake wildly. When I close them it is fine.

Change the Wiimote sensitivity in the Wii options.

Yeah this might be the problem too - you really don't need the sensitivity at maximum.
