My rocketfish adapter reads the wiimote fine and kind of installs it as a HID, but I'm still haveing problems.
I've tried multiple programs and drivers to try to connect my wiimote to my pc.

Bluesoleil won't recognize my bluetooth reciever
wiinremote reads it for a second and then gets an error
and glovePIE is just utter crap

I'm thinking there must be a difference between a bluetooth dongle and just a bluetooth reciever, that's what my logic runs down to.

A bluetooth dongle is a bluetooth receiver, also a transmitter.

I assume you are using windows... if that is the case, i'd suggest using the built in bluetooth stack and then using GlovePIE to acheive whatever goal it is that you have in mind.

I have used this method to play Frets on Fire using my GHIII guitar, use the wiimote as the mouse and also to use the wiimote as a steering wheel.
