Btw, I am loving the latest version of WiiMC. I haven't liked it much since it dropped 202 support because it really slowed down, but the latest one works almost perfectly for me. On occasion it still doesn't detect my HDD and a couple videos can get a little bit laggy, but other than that it works just as well as MPlayer CE on 202! If it continues to work this well, I'll drop MPlayer CE as my default and just keep it as a backup! :D
OMG, finally he pulls his head out of his ass and sees the light! A pity you couldn't have done it ages ago when I asked you to compare the speeds of IOS58 vs. IOS202... especially since there haven't been any substantial changes to libogc's usbstorage code in over 12 months that would account for any speed ups.
Actually everytime we discuss this I tell you I already have compared them, and you somehow manage to forget. I don't know what fixed it in the latest version, but I've tried it with every version of WiiMC (except for 1.2.1, it had already been updated to 1.2.2 before I had the chance) and it's been slow or unstable till now, with the exception of that beta that let me use 202. It still doesn't work quite as well as MPlayer CE on 202, but it's so small I probably wouldn't have noticed it if I wasn't looking so close at the two.

@OP: I know you said that you have everything up to date, but go ahead and press HOME when in the HBC and see what version is displayed. You still need to try WiiXplorer.

Even though WiiMC as no support for 202, it still works from the HBC, just not from a direct channel, but I don't use much discs, only HDDs and they work great without any issue...!! :)

I really doubt it, I never installed the IOS58 and the channel needs it, but tomorrow I'll do some tests to check if my discs can work and the channel can launch...!!

OP: for the millionth time: YOUR DVD DRIVE IS BROKEN. It used to work, now it doesn't. End of. Now stop making repetitive threads about the same issues.
He seems reluctant to accept that. Not helped by all the people here still trying to troubleshoot the issue, when it is abundantly clear that this is the problem.

Due to his obvious hatred of spell check, I'm having trouble understanding his posts. As far as I can tell, he has only tried WiiMC. That's why i keep asking him to try WiiXplorer.

He has already posted topics about how he cannot load legitimate discs from the disc channel or any other loader (NeoGamma, maybe Gecko) despite having reinstalled an almost full set of clean IOS (he had darkcrap, and was advised to use ModMii to clean his IOS). The fact that they all fail, on legitimate discs (and I think maybe "backups" too), makes it clear he has a broken disc drive.
