I want to play one of my old DVDs i found in the attic to find out whats inside. Since My old DVD player is broken, I decided to use WiiMC, Some of the DVD I inserted it says Unsupported DVD since it's clear that's either DVD, DVD-R, or DVD-RW (or maybe it's Blu-Ray). Some of the DVD freezes tight after clicking the interactive card to play the movie, Some of them freezes in the middle of the movie, And some of them Won't interact when clicking some settings on the interactive card. It happens differently in different DVDs
How to fix this? Bug issue?

Hello,

with wiimc, preferably use DVD-R.

other formats DVD-RW, DVD + RW are not supported by all players, anyway, using DVDs you will wear out your lens faster:teach:(take your pick).:D

WiiMC's DVD playback was never perfect to begin with. A cool feature to unlock for sure, but even with the most pristine of DVDs I remember stutters and freezes during playback. Sometimes everything worked without issue, but that definitely wasn't typical.

Yes, it even freezes at the same time as the previous attempts.

Really? I didn't use it a lot (not wanting to wear down the Wii drive when there are a lot of other methods for playing DVDs), but I never encountered any error if a movie started – Some of the more complex menus made starting the movie problematic.
Even a mini DVD-R DL played fine; that was my "hardcore" test – forcing the drive to read burned dual layer which have lower contrast than single layer.

Guess I got lucky.
