    From the official wiikey site.
I don't really get this is it a disk to install 1.9b update or is it to reinstall the leaked 1.9b?

See that hole in your wall?
This is the recovery disc. Not an update.
I think the last site update before this said that the update wasn't supposed to be released until the recovery disc was released too.

Its a recovery disc. You only need it if something goes wrong while flashing your Wii to 1.9b (for example you turn off your wii) Cause then your chip won't work properly, But this disc will restore your Wiikey chip and it should work fine after that. If you do everything right you won't need the recovery Disc.

But we still need the configuration disc. I guess they've gotten some people pissed that they tried updating and fried their chip.

Hum, looks like the leaked 1.9b release is as official as it will get.

yeah, but how does it work if you don't run it? Is this part of what the wiikey team considers to be stealth?

Perhaps it uses the Wii looking for the little logo to put in the box to somehow send the firmware down to the Wiikey again. It sounds strange. If they can do that, without running the disc, Nintendo could too.

I'm sure Nintendo will start running little bricking programs, that run when you put in a game, based on that technology [IMG]
