So, i bought myself a premodded Nintendo Wii with a Wiikey..

At first i tried a burned game, but got "Disk Read Error", then i ran the v1.2 WiiKey Configuration and now my Wii will recognize the discs
(When inserting, the right logo appears and i can choose between "Wii Menu and Start"

So i found some "backup games"
Big Brain Academy worked 100% first time
Resident Evil 4 froze untill i changed settings to WideScreen and 60hZ, now it works 100% as well

I also got these games
Alien Syndrome
WiiPlay

They are regognized as well, but when i press start i get a black screen and Wii is frozen!

this might be asked about before, but i couldnt find it..

Anyway to fix this or something?

its a PAL btw..

Thank you!

or how can i tell if i deleted it from my computer after burned out?

I just downloaded Mario Party8, works like a charm..

Sounds like you got USA disks there. You can maybe see if you use the GC-tool program.

I just added this program to the "Other useful tools" section of the Downloads area since I know this is a difficult little tool to find sometimes. It should be up whenever it gets verified by the board gods.

Shouldnt the "regionfree program" solve that problem with the PAL and NTSC difference?
i entered the wiikey config to enable that atleast..

So this "GC-tool" can identify the Region? is that the exact name btw?

Thanks

brickblocker will also tell you the region of the software, you may want to be using this prog if youre running NTSC on a PAL unit

I have the same problem. PAL Wi with WiiKey. PAL Backups seem to work, whereas NTSC do not.

However, I tried Call of Duty (NTSC) and as per the compatibility list it should work on the PAL Wii. I tried all possible combinations (Patched/unpatched with RegionFree, set WiiKey to override Region etc.) Still I will get only a black screen.

Does anyone have a clue?
