Seems simple enough to install. I hope its of better quality than the Cyclowiz...we shall see i guess.
very nice! i look forward to the review, if this falls through im gettin a wiinja!
nice picture - uh, i mean 'installation manual'...though i guess you dont really need much more information.
I just practiced doing a bit of soldering today (my first time), I wasn't very satisfied with my performance...I ended up making a lot of solder balls (I think it was cause of too much solder). I think the quick solder method seems perfect for a n00b like me.
I'm having trouble with solder balls too, is it because of too much solder?
yea too much solder causes it, try tinning the wire with decent amount of lead then soldering it to the board and not use extra solder, should work fine and prevent you from using too much solder.
when i say decent amount i dont mean create a solder ball on the wire , just enough to tin and tiny bit extra
Sounds like the perfect solution for the perfect soldering apprentice.
Six quick solder points & that's it.
Too bad it's a bit overpriced since it can't boot backups from different regions, which I guess should be your main motive for modding your Wii.
For US and Japan, the features look near perfect. Has there ever been a PAL only game, ever? I don't mean versions of real games without the blood, swastikas and violence - I mean a real PAL game that never saw the light of day in japan or US.
To much solder AND you probably not heated up the spot before adding the solder.
You have to warm up the point for a few seconds, than add the solder. The solder will flow nicely without balls.
I did some photoshop manipulation of the Wiikey final picture and a picture of the board and I came up with the exact right installation myself. Somehow the Wiikey is actually bigger than I thought it would be.
Anyway, wire install for me.
And for the folks being noobish at soldering thinking quicksolder is the answer.... It probably isn't. There are some extremely easy points to bridge in this install. Probably easier with wires.
Read my thread "rate my soldering skillz", a lot of people posted good links and advice.
wire installation might be a better choice than the quicksolder
Yes, a few GC PAL games never got released in the US and most likely not in JPN either. Super Fruit Fall for Wii is only for PAL regions.
im just DYING to play Super Fruit Fall...T_T
that doesn't llook bad at all
hahaha funny you said that because i was just thinkin the same thing, in fact, i dont even think anyone has even bought that game
Still no sign of uk seller?....
Looks easy to install. I'll wait for a review to see what the qualitys like.
the quality looks good to me... how good are mod chips suppose to be made?
I'm looking for compatibilty...
What the heck is this thing the same chip or is it a real one that's actually worth it?
