Hey there;

I have done some search; but with word speeds, it leads me to topics speaking about burning speed for media.

But i am looking for something else : the purpose of changing the drive speed. From 3x to 6x is there any difference ?
It works for gamecube ? wii ? both ?

The wii do not seems to make less noise at 3x; so i was quite curious about the interest of this feature.

Thanks in advance for the helping guy !!

It's supposed to make less noise when set at a lower speed. But games will load slower too. Setting it faster should load your games a little faster but louder.

I found too many issues with setting it to 3x, especially for Cube games. I played Super Smash Bros. Melee on a disc I usually get DRE's with after 10 minutes or so of play, and setting the speed to 3x only made me have DRE's after about 2 minutes of play.

    SylverReZ @ SylverReZ: Also nice. Never really watched Fallout on Prime, but sounds like a good show. +1
