    Hello every body,

My english is not as good as yours (i prefer french)...but i would try to explain my problem and maybe i think i found a solution...But i need help from Metroid Japan user...my wii-J is semi-brick by mario striker, so no more access to wifi connection (and still no wifi connection and broadband connection at home).
I would like to get MP3-J update from original games if somebody can get it...I will patch a backup of my collection with WiiBrickBlocker and replace update part of iso by the one found on MP3-J.

    To get MP3-J update 3.0J :
    1) Backup game and make iso file
    2) hexedit iso file and copy offset 0x40000 to offset 0x0f800000 i think it will be possible to copy and paste it on a new file, this will be the update 3.0J

So if somebody get the file i will try to use it and patch my wii-J...

First of all, you are requesting a game backup.
Second, this game doesn't exist yet.
Third, it's only your first post and you expect us to do stuff for you.

    Don't post again, ever.

It's funny how the majority of the people on the internet think JAP is the appropriate abbreviation for Japanese/Japan

Bloodgod I don't even bother anymore back in gamefaqs people ONLY said jap when they were talking about Japanese stuff. Seriously Jap to japanese people is like calling a black person the n word.

Poor guy came on here to ask for help and everyone just pounced on him. Although i don't think i can be much help myself. I'm not sure if there are any Japanese games out with the 3.0J update on it, I'm not even sure if there are any US or PAL ones either. I thought that MP3 US had some other wierd update on it but not 3.0, since people were updating their Wii's and still staying on 2.2e etc.

Anyway im sure someone will come along with more insight than me.

JP is fine. Jap is not.

JAP as a term for a Japanese person is racist. It's been used as a region code/abbreviation for quite some time.
    jap/use/eur, ntsc/pal/jap

As a technical or regional term it's not too bad at all. Yes, saying "I was hanging out with a jap yesterday" is pretty bad, but saying "I need the JAP version" is more accurate than using the phrase "semi-brick."
But if you were to get really technical, you'd pronounce JAP as J.A.P. and PAL as P.A.L.

My wife and oldest child are both 100% nihon-jin. My 4yr old daughter is japanese-american. I have ranted over the 'jap' thing on here before, and got told I was blowing things out of proportion. I'm glad to see the majority in this thread now believe 'jap' is poor form. I prefer JPN, FWIW.

I've been following the Wii-JPN stuff and I'm not sure what, if any, game has been released with the 3.0J update yet. I'm fortunate to have a JPN Wii running 3.0J, and successfully updated just enough to also allow MP3, with no duplicate weather/news channels or other semi-brick mishaps.

I think the OP (and many others) will be waiting at least until September 20 when Mario Strikers JPN is released to get a game with the 3.0J update on it.

Does anyone tried to use a firmware session from a game and put it on another game ?
wiiBrickBlocker is used to disable the 2nd session, but replacing it with another one is working ?
Does the 2nd session always are the same size on each game ?

    Now I'm curious [IMG]

if you don't have games with 3.0J, you can still try with games asking to update the Wii without changing the firmware (Paper Mario and Metroid) just to see if the game is asking for an update, is recognized in disc channel etc..
(of course don't run the update ^^)
