I've recently had some issues with my Wii's USB Loaders that I'd thought I'd finally resolved (missing cIOS249, games wouldn't display in WiiFlow), and now I've run into a new issue. When starting up a game in WiiFlow, the screen goes black and the disc drive (empty) starts making noises as if it is trying to load from the disc rather than load from the HDD.

It used to work just fine before I had my problems. Does anyone know how to go about fixing this issue?

Try another USB Loader and let us know how it goes. You could also try forcing a specific cIOS slot in which you installed your cIOS in which in this case is 249 as you said.

I used a much older version (2.1) and it works perfectly now, now I just need to figure out how to play Skyward Sword without it going to the home menu after the Wii Motion + tutorials.
