Hacking Wii64 on PS3 proof of concept release

@th3joker Wow I did not know that the first time I had heard of retroarch was around PS3 ara I didn't know they hated the PS3. It sucks because the PS3 is a powerful machine and nobody cant really go to use it at it's full potential. If you have an OG BC 60gb PS3 that still works then you are golden.



@Magsor I forgot all about the PS5 lol I did hear that it will be BC with PS4 but I'm guessing that they will just use the PS Now approach with the PS3 games. But for emulation I use my S10 (I dont really like the wii that much because they force you to use the wii remote or nunchucks) I have my vita and my switch but I have to go through retroarch vs my Phone it's more simplified.

The bottom line is get a PS4 you will save your time. There will be a new jailbreak when ps5 come out. it<s just the way life works.

I had a 5.05 PS4 I bought it on ebay and I sold it within that same week I was dissapointed with it. I still have my other PS4 that's in my storage I recently started getting into Xbox so I haven't really had much time to play my PS4, PS3, or PS2 or my Vita lol I only mainly play My Xbox now my switch is there but I haven't played it in a week. I got into playing State of Decay lol

But the 5.05 also has alot of potential my issue was with that not playing newer games... and I already have a gaming laptop so most 3rd party games I have on my laptop.

I have 3 Ps4s a 1.76fw a 6.50 and a pro on latest fw always, i also have a modded switch a hacked vita and a cfw pspgo with a dock and video out cables. I have many better ways to play n64 if i just needed to play it. N64 on ps3 is more of a completion trophy

There is some PSP backwards compatibility on PS3 but I'm not sure about Homebrew Eboots?

ps3 is able to run all psx2eboot games, and some psp game, there's a psp on ps3 compatibility list on google for while.

It's really nice to hear that the PS3 is finally getting N64 emu running.. I heard there was a dev many years back in the works of developing one but had his home raided on behalf of Sony over the project, which really was a bummer. I'm happy that efforts to bring N64 emulaton back for PS3 is finally in the works.

bit of a necro but I got to thinking about this today. is there a N64emu that is working on ps3(as in playable speeds)? is anyone still working on it/them?
