    Hi,
does this thing only convert the analog component signal to a digital HDMI signal or is the signal it gets from the Wii true digital?

    Converts the signal.

You can't magically produces more pixels without different hardware (Dolphin is the only solution for native HD).

I don´t want to "produce more pixels", i never said that.
I want true digital video in 480p.
No analog to digital converted signal, because thats always a loss in quality.
So it´s only analog2digital? That sucks.

Yeah. Nintendo dropped digital video and audio with the Wii. Then it came back for Wii U.

Early revisions of Gamecube had an output. But no such cable was ever released (the expensive component cable encoded digital video to analog, ignoring audio).
