I still don't get... who in the scene decided that you couldn't scrub releases?
The scene didn't, GBAtemp did. Virtually no other worthwhile site calls them nukes. I don't know of a single one, myself.
It's not just 'Temp though, ludibria nukes them too. It's a scene rule for some reason.
If that's so, why hasn't anyone told the Japanese groups that pretty much every single release of theirs gets nuked?
I don't really think they care, so far, all these releases work. The problem is, in the future -due to security patches by Nintendo- they might not.

Well truncha got caught, so why not, it's just another signing technique?
Scrubbing is not a signing technique. It's replacing the unused "garbage" data in the iso with 00s or FFs.
I thought these got nuked since they weren't 1:1 copies of the games?
Yeah, certain *other* sites either nuke or don't show these releases...
And this is because of the OCD of the scene. Perfect isn't perfect without useless garbage... and I'm not sure why.
