Hi thanks to those who helped me fix my bricked wii

    Ok i did this:

    bricked wii (while at 3.2)

    restored wii to 4.1u

updated to new firmware (4.2u) with safe updater

now it wont let me goto settings

and i just got a new internet router (and call of duty 5 wii [IMG] -> :| -> [IMG]

so how can i fix this?

but i tryed to change ios249 with preloader 3.0 (when i compiled it it was not the installer, only the preloader, then i get code dump error.)

and to be honest i have no clue what ios my is now (bolded because i did now it before updating.)

    help,

    davess

Only time I ever had an issue going into settings was when I encountered a system that was region hacked then updated. Are you sure your Wii was a USA/NTSC console?

bet you got a messed up sys menu bro [IMG] if you flash the original system menu back to the nand (4.1 in this case) it addresses that problem (the same thing happens when flashing themes from lower FW's and installing your original 000000XX.app file usually fixes that) the sys menu wad would likely also work fine...but if you like see if anyone with these exact same issues posts maybe they can provide a more technical answer but i would have tried to install my original system menu [IMG]

I can Smell xzxero's Avatar from here. Skunky and sticky.

In Pre-loader settings you said it is set to IOS249? If your on System Menu 4.2 I believe this needs to be set to 70. Make sure you have a Patched IOS70 installed with ES_DIverify or you will get system files corrupted. And there is no real release for pre-loader .30 even if you did compile it will not install. Use the Jodi-Patched Preloader .29

every time i see a thread with "i cant get to my wii settings" the answer is ALWAYS because you are booting the system menu with ios 249. i have not yet seen one of these where that wasn't the fix. it doesn't matter what system menu version, don't boot it with ios249 if you want to be able to get into the settings.
