Gaming Wii Update on Metroid and Mario Strikers

so far everytime i put in either one of these disks it starts updating itself so i quickly ejected the disk, i have the ntsc wii, can someone help me get rid of the automatic updates?

Why not just let it update? You have a US machine so the update isn't going to screw anything up.

If you have the USA NTSC Wii then the update is fine... if you're out of region and haven't yet updated to Wii 3.0 then DON'T do it as you'll have the unfournate issue of applying the wrong update type to your Wii - thus brickage will ensue!!!
