Much like the 3DS cradle, it appears that Nintendo could be working on something similar for the Wii U. The console’s tablet would be placed on the accessory, and may provide power to the rechargeable controller.

Might this be bundled in with all Wii U units?

Still I don't think this reveals anything about the final design of the Wii U.
There are rumors about a different controller design out there and I don't think Nintendo are willing to leak something before their E3 presentation.

What could be a possible use for this is the ability for you to use the Wii U screen with your Wiimote, the Wii U controller supposedly has LEDs built in, much like the Wii sensor bar.

Maybe the utab cradle is also the rumored walker piece? Kill two ideas with one item
Probably would have been part of the patent. That's also why I'm not convinced that walker thing is real, by now we'd likely have seen at least some sort of patent for it, even if it's just a partial or incomplete one.

Likely for charging. Maybe also as a stand (remember the Wii U trailer and those shooting games?)

It may also be for communication purposes, but I doubt it.

LOOK AT THE (CIRCLE PADS)

They look like analog sticks? 0.o

No wait, they still look like Circle Pads -.-;;;
I heard somewhere that the latest revision features analog sticks rather than circle pads. No idea how credible of a claim that is, though.
completely uncredible. Everyone is still saying circle pads and Ubisoft's leaked trailer is still circle pads as well and that's on the second latest revision (the latest revision just launched enables true wireless play on the device).

The latest rumors puts the circles pads as having analog "clickers" (like when you press down on the PS3 controller buttons)

*Sigh*... come on Nintendo, really? How on EARTH they get the idea that circle pads can be anywhere near as effective as analog sticks?? It's not like the Tablet controllers is meant to be put in your pocket, so what's the point? It can't possibly be for mobility

Those slide pads seem thicker than the ones on the 3ds and the people who actually held the controller says it is comfortable, so the complaining seem a bit exaggerated.
Even then, a company would probably do the same thing as the 3ds.

No, the Rayman Legends trailer was intended for an in house showing, it was by no means an E3 leak and there are several factors to prove this like the BttF music, the unfinished animations with frames coming directly from origins, undecided Wii U features etc.

The Wii U controller used in that video is the same as the E3 2011 one, it's connected to the TV, it has black tape on the back, the stylus is missing from it's slot etc.
While wireless transmission using ni-fi has been worked out with 60fps streaming I doubt that it's the one used in that showing.
Rumors have been saying analog sticks for a while now.
A controller will always have changes between first reveal and final product, even if they are minor. And the controller Ubisoft is using is identical to the one showed last E3, thus meaning that the "trailer" didn't leak any new technical information at all.

No one knows how the final controller will end up looking like except for Nintendo, devs are still using the old E3 controller for game input despite the numerous devkit updates the console has been receiving.
