Don't worry, I've already made that mistake twice. Hopefully I can give some updates before August.
Lol. I ordered the wrong one, accidently got the red & gray one instead of the black and white. Don't make this mistake if anyone else has the same issue!

Anyways, I'll hopefully be back by September now, since the only piece I could find is from china

Tragic.

After months of waiting I finally got that wifi module for the motherboard. Hooked it in and everything, after a lot of failure I boot up the wii u again

Same issue, no wifi is detected and it continues to crash.

Will double check to make sure everything is plugged in correctly, but not much luck.

Though, I did notice there was that red and gray module, maybe its worth replacing this? Let me know.

the red and gray is for the gamepad.

Did you already try deleting all existing wifi connections?
I can't get to that screen before my system freezes. I havent gotten the chance to check that everything is connected correctly yet, but I'm fairly sure it should be so I'm unsure what to do now.

I certainly do need to re-check everything though, as while I was assembling the wii u, I'd broken a ribbon cable and had to order a new one, and am now getting a new error about the disk drive. Such a nightmare this console is, but hopefully I can reassemble it in a better state when I get a chance.
