Hello, I bought a Wii U a few weeks ago (used) and went for the cheapest one I could find (Wii U white, skylanders bundle, 8Gb). I went for the 8Gb model because I figured I can use a spare external hard-drive I have lying around. That works fine, but I am curious: the onboard storage only has 3.5Gb free with nothing installed. I am well aware of the fact that storage sizes are often calculated differently (Gigabytes vs. Gibibytes) so there's usually less storage available than claimed. But half the space? Is it supposed to be like that? Do the 8Gb also contain the OS storage? I'd have figured Nintendo would at least have that out of the equation because if not that would make the 8Gb model useless for most people.
