Just download it's update via wiiu usb helper and install in your wiiu via wup installer gx2 or y mod (both are similar, so, whatever).
After all that, try to open your game again and you'll notice that it won't ask you to update.

You don't need the system update. Just the game update and the two users above have given you two different ways to install it
