After doing what I was told in this thread http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=265...p;#entry3279060 to restore my wii to a white menu. I noticed that games that use the game cube controlls stopped working. I also noted Vc games I downloaded and install with wad manager have also stooped working and will not run at all. (note I own all of my wii vc carts ligity and can not see why I'm forced to pay on my wii)

I'm thinking updateing to 4.3 U should fix some of the problems I am faceing. But another major thing is some times I will get "wii system files are missing please read your manual"
I have a very old system backup of my wii thats out to date and I think I do not have banner bomb installed, but I rather not go that far back yet as I do have prillloader and would like my wii to work a bit better,

So how would I update my wii to 4.3 safely and fix the errors I have listed?
I would just love for some quick help

    Also sorry about the engerish

From priiloader boot to HBC and launch Pimp My Wii 2.11 or Dop-Mii or Mult-mod-Manager. You can update safely from all of those.

    Use MODMII to update.

Hmmmm....at least you can run HBC. If I was you I would start again. Get the IOS 58 installer and hackmii0.8. Install IOS 58 from HBC (HBC 1.08 needs it), then run the hackmii installer from the HBC and install HBC 1.0.8. Then run Pimp again or like other said, use ModMii or Dop-Mii or Multi Mod Manager. If you're not sure what to run, use Pimp and just tell it to do everything. At least then you shold have a working Wii. After that you can use ModMii or other tools to add change IOS etc.

You see the thing is, pimp 2.11 is probably looking for HBC 1.0.8 on IOS58.

If HBC 1.0.8 won't install you need to reinstall IOS 34 using Dop-Mii (that's what I did). You should be able to follow the menu options (within Dop-Mii).

I re ran pimp my wii and well... failed ios 9,36 the shoping network and some eula thiney.
so where I stand there is something still wrong
so can I use the drop thingey to install thoes how they need to be?
I used the drop thing to install ios 9 and the shoping network, but what about 36? also I rember installing something that let me run any kind of vc file even if I did not install it. I did know it let me run any vc game that i installed via a wad on my sd card, via the sd card boot dooble babble

Pimp my wii know says it an not find ios 12,13,14,15 and once again 9

The backup of your Wii that you have... which program did you use to create that? Do you have bootmii installed at boot2?

I wouldn't rush off to restoring that old backup just yet. It's always an option, but there may be other (better) ways to fix this without losing save data and such.

I wouldn't rush off either; but restoring that backup is simple, so is re-installing everything- just backup your SD

    Console ID: 44038594
    Boot2 v4

I am restoring my old system,
I then am going to stip all of the saves and the vc games out and then make another backup of it.

I am never going to lissen to my self and installing theems on my system that did not work out at all

    edit
    I saved my game saves
I restored from my back up, of nada thiney
I deleted any saves and other crap from my wii data maner pane
I updated HBC and made shure boot mii was installed
Made a new backup of my system (Also burned to a cd-r for safe keeping) (Over 500MB of nothing)
    Installed the newest 58 iso
    Ran pimp my wii twice
and it seems to work. Yeay
At the moment I am re downloading all of my virtual games and also going to burn them to disk just as a percauction and plus I wont have to wait 8 hours to download them all
I did try installing earthbound it ran fine if I launch it from the system menu but from the sd menu it wont boot and says error something something

Whats up with that? I take it I missed installing something, Same with game cube backup launcher it will no longer work
CFG works fine though and so does Wii64

You need to patch the SM's IOS with the trucha bug. You can do it with MMM.

If it's 4.0 or 4.1, you need to install IOS60 v6174 with the trucha patch. If it's 4.2, install IOS70 v6687 with the patch. If it's 4.3, then IOS80 with the patch.
