I might play with it a bit when it comes over. Source
I've wanted it since I saw it on Nintendo Direct. Loving it.
InB4 avalanche of "Word on the Street is..." puns in the coming months.
I'll probably be responsible for 95% of them.
the word on the street is that this is basically just google earth on the wiiu so I'll be passing GO on this
But, I admit freely, I'm super-interested to see how fluid the images are moved around with the WiiU gamepad. If it's done more with the gyroscope than the buttons or touch interface, then simulating looking around could trick the individual into really feeling more immersed with GoogleEarth, than with a computer mouse dragging around the picture.
I am really excited for this one! I lived in Austria for 4 years when I was child and I really want to see its streets once again!
you can pretty much see them right now with google earth you don't need to wait
Really? O.o I didn't know that. I thought you could only see them from top-down view...
on google maps you can also see it with street view and can see the street 360 degrees (i just looked at my house and street on it) that's all this does except on the wiiu
cool, now we need Wii Street U Fighter: Special Turbo Edition
I see. I will try this out! Thanks a lot for the info
Here's another video: http://www.gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=195714
That stuff scares me lmao.
It's next iteration would be Pokemon Snap Street -- hunt for pokemanz around the world's streets!
Looks like Nintendo is streets ahead.
Remember to tune into Community on Friday folks.
Wii street U? Yeah...mii also straight. Thanks for asking.
Seriously, nintendo. Lay off the silly "wii" and "u" name already. This is starting to break new grounds of retardedness.
I would hold we are barely at the early DS naming nonsense yet and not even close to the N64 at its worst.
Quite addicting when it comes to a trip down memory lane.
Big Mother is your friend.
Friday....? You mean Thursday...
Why isn't it WiiU Street? I find the wording highly unappealing.
Not only is Street put on the logical spot for the verb, making it sound like "A Wii is street'ing you (U)", completely forgetting that the console's name is WiiU, not Wii, it's also reminiscent of the horrible fail that is the PSP Street to begin with.
I know a good name for this App - how about Google Earth U? Naw, that'd make too much sense. Other than that, cool.
