InB4 avalanche of "Word on the Street is..." puns in the coming months.

I'll probably be responsible for 95% of them.

But, I admit freely, I'm super-interested to see how fluid the images are moved around with the WiiU gamepad. If it's done more with the gyroscope than the buttons or touch interface, then simulating looking around could trick the individual into really feeling more immersed with GoogleEarth, than with a computer mouse dragging around the picture.

It's next iteration would be Pokemon Snap Street -- hunt for pokemanz around the world's streets!

Seriously, nintendo. Lay off the silly "wii" and "u" name already. This is starting to break new grounds of retardedness. :glare:

I would hold we are barely at the early DS naming nonsense yet and not even close to the N64 at its worst.

Why isn't it WiiU Street? I find the wording highly unappealing.

Not only is Street put on the logical spot for the verb, making it sound like "A Wii is street'ing you (U)", completely forgetting that the console's name is WiiU, not Wii, it's also reminiscent of the horrible fail that is the PSP Street to begin with.

I know a good name for this App - how about Google Earth U? Naw, that'd make too much sense. Other than that, cool.
