Hacking Wii Sports Resort with a wii with 4.1?

What can I do to put wii sports resort working in firmware 4.1?



1º Metode Solution by Hadrian


1. MAke a NeoGamma Folder in the root of SD card and put the RZTP.dol file inside it. Boot.dol needs to be there too
2. Load Neogamma R6 via Homebrew Channel and have the settings like this:

002 fix: ON
Alternative dol: SD

3. Then just launch the disc or USB. You'll see a stupid video with a bint with sexy hands for about 3 minutes. Video ends and then it restarts the Wii
4. Restart Neogamma and change the settings so the it doesn't run the alternative dol.

Works for me.

I can't give you the alt dol(I think its copyrighted), but googling RZTP.dol works.

1. Start the first introduction video with the alternate DOL(rip it with a tool like wiiscrubber) and watch it. You end in the Wii menu and the game itself doesn't work.
2. Switch off the alternate DOL function and run the game again, now you can play it.
Doesn't try to view the video again from the game, it work only with the alternate DOL function, the game only without it. wink.gif

How to get Wii Sports Resort working(disc/sd/usb on softmods, will work for hardmodded Wiis too, but would be kind of pointless to do it this way on these):
1. Get NeoGamma:

2. Run NeoGamma from HBC
3. Select alternative .dol loading from disc
4. Start the game
5. Select the .dol that is NOT the main.dol
6. Watch all movies
7. The Wii will crash/reboot
8. Set NeoGamma back to no alternative .dol loading
9. Use your preferred method to play the game

If you get an error, freeze or reboot AFTER step 5, you may have the wrong cIOS and/or wrong settings. The game does not like it if you force the video mode. To solve cIOS "question", install rev13a:

Europe Verison (E): Wii Sports Resort Guide:
1. Run NeoGamma For First Time But Do Nothing With It.
2. Put Your SD Card Into Your Computer.
3. You Should Find A New Folder Called: NeoGamma
4. Download RZTE.dol (Not RZTP.dol)
5. Place The dol File In The NeoGamma Folder In The Root Of Your SD Card. (Dont Get Confused With The apps folder neogamma folder)
6. Run NeoGamma And Configure These Options (Obviously Config Options)
Anti 002 Fix: On
Alternative Dol: SD
7. Run The Game From DVD And You've Got To Watch The Videos.
8. When You Finished Watching All Videos Press A. You Should End Up Back On The Wii Menu
9. Run NeoGamma And Turn Alternative Dol To No And Keep Others The Same.
10. Run The Game And Enjoy.

I had to use latest NeoGamma with alt dol on my Pal 4.1. Some reason my USB Loader GX just goes black screen, runs everything else. Not a problem though.

Just played it for three hours straight, fun game.

You can use uLoader and it works fine without the alt dol on 4.1U. If you run it on an NTSC Wii (assuming you have a PAL copy) you'll need to force it to PAL60.

Ghostbusters works fine for me with uLoader -- current version is 2.5b, no special settings needed. I have cIOS 222 installed based on IOS36 and 223 installed as IOS36/37 merge (recommended settings).

Don't know all the changes and i doesn't try any old version of usb loader gx with sports resort, but if you use the latest version with my hints in #2 the game(PAL!) work fine.

If you use an older version of gx update to the latest(why not?) or try if it work, but than report it here with the version nr.

Edit:
Btw, it's tested with cIOS 10-13(a) and not 13b(there is a 002 fix in GX, uLoader, ...).

Does it need to be firmware 4.1? Also what cIOS?

It work with also with firmware 4.0, but 4.1 is a bugfix for this game.

With a firmware < 4.1 you must view the 3 minute long video again if you use WiiWare/VC titles from your sd card.

cIOS ...
It work with Waninkoko cIOS 10-13, others are possible.

The games works on my Wii with WiiKey. The first time I had to see the intro.
But with the USB-loader I get the #002 error.
I must admit that I use a rather old version of the GX Loader.

What is the easiest way to get this working on USB-loader? Without the difficult alt dol thingies (haven't gotten into this yet)
Is using the latest USB-loader going to fix the problemor do I need to install some more cIOS?
