At the end of that Wii Fit U Nintendo Direct [at 17m 49s] was an announcement for Wii Sports Club:

re-releases of the original Wii Sports with:

• updated HD graphics
• mandatory(?) support for Wii Remote Plus (or MotionPlus) controllers

and most interestingly

• online multiplayer!!
  • local/national "club" rankings
  • Miiverse integration

Tennis & Bowling are up first from 7th Nov for £8.99 per sport (the other 3 sports to follow), or £1.79 for a 24hr day pass (all available sports)

similar approach to the karaoke game , the prices dont seem too extreme to me , i just worry that if i liked a game / bundle a fair bit , it could end up costing a fair bit , they should offer a unlimited package also.

Resorts was a full game, and Wii Sports wasn't that much of a full game (more of a Demo to get used to the Wii). So expect Wii Sports Resorts HD in a few months for the full price.

For real even Wii Sports Resort was a glorified tech demo for the WM+ and really wasn't that good either. Even then most of the games were shit and the controls were shit, every other WM+ game after it did controls so much better.

Wii Sports Club is free now. I downloaded two days ago got every game. Not many people playing in my region but local games are fun.

It is? I know you can have it for free for a short period, but with either season passes or a one time purchase, I never bothered (I already played wii sports).

A quick search showed that it should be free on March 21->23 but if it is actually free (without a catch), then that's certainly news.

Nintendo Land has what.. 13 games? If each one were sold at £3.50 the overall price would have been £45.50 and how much does Nintendo Land cost at retailers? About £15 or less.

Unfortunately these titles had no off tv play option and so I didn't even try them out at all........
