I saw this elsewhere..and it does work. Just do exactly what the guy does in the video. It's good, because that portion is impossible to beat any other way in my opinion.

This is the game I'm most looking forward to on wii-sports when the wii comes out here in England. I just want to know, do you choose the angle of the throw with the buttons on the remote or do you just move the remote to the left or right when throwing (like with a real ball). I'm hoping for the latter.

You choose the angle of the throw and your position using the d-pad. The default setting is to move your character left/right, and when you press "A" it allows you to adjust your angle. You have to do the bowling motion with the remote, and depending on how you angle/twist the remote itself, that is what puts a left/right spin on the ball.

It's not as complicated as it might sound. [IMG]

Thanks, I'm hoping that it's the kind of game you have to build skill over time to be really good at. After all, if it is easy then it'll get boring quickly!

Previous real-life bowling knowledge will help.

If you look at my sig, I very much suck at Wii Sports, but I suck at sports in general too. You really have to have the motion down-pat, and the ability to hold your hand as straight as possible, especially for bowling.

Baseball is the easiest of Wii Sports, followed by Tennis, Boxing, Bowling & Golf IMO.

I've been able to get strikes on them all (not in the same trial though). It helps if you understand how the "perfect strike" works. Here's a good video of a "perfect strike" with a little explanation. There's also a button to make the video go slower, but I couldn't get it to work.

Curving it to hit the pocket like that is how I got all of my strikes.
