I wanted to make a single spot for as many tips and tricks related to singing games as possible. There is alot of bad information out there and I have been going through all of the games and so I wanted to put what I have learned here and gather what others know.

To get "Andrew Lloyd Weber" and "Kylie Minogue" to launch. I had to rehack my wii using Modmii and then left the cIOS as auto and change the video mode to game in WiiFlow. Then both launched and worked great.

On Mic Quality there is a distinct build difference between Rockband and Guitar Hero mics and the Konami and other brands out there. You can feel the weight differences in the mics. What's crazy is that I used a microphone testing software on my computer to test the quality of all the mics I had and the software rated the konami the highest. I don't fullly believe it. The performance of all the mics I have is about the same in the games unless the mic is going bad.

The Wii U mic though great for Wii U and great for Rock Band 4 on the PS4 does not work on the Wii. I am pretty sure that all the mics on the wii are working off a specific firmware (driver) that Logitech made and only mics that were made with that firmware in mind will work. This means that sometimes xbox and ps4 mics will work on the wii, but normal usb mics and the wiiu mics will not.

Some of the earliest singing games for the Wii were the Disney Sing It series. The first game at some point was cracked open and a programmer from Europe named Psykos cracked open a bunch of PS2 karaoke games and he created a long list of custom karaoke games. These games are almost impossible to find online now. All the games in my experience have a common problem. That the second mic will never work right. If you sing into it... the vocals will half way record in player 1 and half in player 2. I am using a generic USB 2.0 hub, so that might have something to do with it, but the hub works well in every other game. Meaning Rockband, Let's Sing, We Sing, even the later Sing it games do not have this problem. This seems to make all of Psykos' games almost unusable for multi-player and he had a lot. If anyone has gotten past this problem let me know here.

Many of the later Disney games have vocal training, which is a lot of fun and if you are a lousy singer is a good time.

Most of the games are standard pitch tracking and normal karaoke. Some that are a little different... the boogie games are really airmed at teen girls making a full sing dance, design, edit performing experience.

Joysound Karoke is best and the worst of all the singing games. It is the closest thing to a full karaoke experience on the Wii. You can control many things about your vocals... you can sing without any accompanying vocals at all. It had a ton of downlaodable content. Unfortunately I have not found a source for any of the that downloadable content and I believe it is all unavailable now. Beyond that none of the songs are the original music. They are almost elevator renditions of it. If anyone figures out how to do the downloadable music let me know.

Experience wise the best games to sing to are ones influenced by Harmonix. So, all the Guitar Heroes that allow singing (6 games), the Karaoke Revolution Games (6 games) and all the Rockband Games (I believe 12 games). There are two reasons really. The pitch tracker shows your pitch whether you hit the note or not (not all the games do that). The word are well lined up with the pitches (not all the games do that). The scrolling sideways lyrics and pitches are easier to track than the page by page method of most songs.

Visually on the other hand, I hate computer generated singers. So, I much prefer the real video to the Rockband singers. Series like Let's Sing, U-Sing, We Sing, and all of Psykos custom games all use real videos. Most are low res vids. The exception though are the Karaoke Revolution Glee's and We Sing. They are all great resolution videos.
