Basically, I got a free junk wii from a dude. It doesn't show audio or video. The USB ports work, the fan spins, the console accepts and spits out discs, and the LEDs are functional. The only av cable I got is the Wii2HDMI thing. This is pretty much the only forum I could find relating to Wii hardware so yeah.

If you need pics or video I can supply you with that.

Oh, and I tried a 1080p projector and a 4k monitor. The reset button is stuck but the housing is somewhat damaged so I could move the front of the console away from the rest of it using my hand, but that didn't make a difference so it's not that.

Process of elimination. Try:
  • Another Wii with the same Wii2HDMI and HDMI cable
  • Another AV cable, analogue
  • Syncing a Wii Remote (for the case that it actually starts but doesn't show output)

Please provide a picture of the (Reset) button/front panel. I didn't really understand this.

The next question is, if another cable doesn't help:
Does it give no signal (like in TV says "No signal") or a black screen (TV gets a signal, but it is all black)?

Wii not showing anything can have multiple causes:
  • Bad Bluetooth module
  • Bad WiFi module
  • Some defect on mainboard
  • Software brick (various possible causes) → Try holding in the (Reset) button on power on to see if Priiloader is installed.

I don't have another Wii. Also I'll try syncing a wiimote to it. There wasn't anything happening when I plugged in a GameCube controller. It gives a black screen no matter the monitor. Oh, and how do you attach files to posts?

Found the attach button. I'll see if priiloader is installed, but the reset button is jammed. That's why I would need to move the front panel like I did in the image below in order to press the part that the button usually presses, if that makes sense.
