May I seek support from the group?
I acquired a Wii very recently and modded it following wii guide, all went well.
However I did not realize that the firmware was not up-to-date before doing the mod and now get an error when trying to update afterward.
Following settings changed prior to launch the update:
- Block Online Updates in Priiloader is disabled
- DNS settings changed to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

System configuration:
Firmware 4.2E / Bootmii as iOS (Option to install as Boot2 was not available)
IOS v70 / Systemmenu v482 / Priiloader v0.9.1
Nand backed up before sofmod
Using 128gb SDcard formatted to FAT32 for both apps and wbfs

Thanks

I suggest not updating as there's really no advantage in doing so, just make sure your softmods are up to date, and necessary cIOSs are installed.
Also post a syscheck here to see if you're missing anything.

Your CIOSs look good. You have to create a nand backup with BootMii (if you haven't already) and store it somewhere safe on your PC, so you can find it easily if the need for it ever arises.

I read on another forum that Nintendo may have permanently disabled updates.
Wii Shop Channel also stopped being able to download previously purchased games.

Sounds great! I have the NAND backup saved on my computer.

Ok then, that is probably why the update did not work.
