Wii Rock Band 3 DLC Install Help

So after MANY attempts at getting the Rock Band 2 DLC to work on my wii, I have failed. After digging some more on the internet, I have found that a few people have been successful in getting RB2 and RB3 DLC running on their RB3 using the same guides I have been using. I am still having no luck getting the DLC to load in RB3 (RB3 Deluxe as well) with the wad2bin/YAWM method and I get an error when trying to enable SD card mode in the settings. It says something along the lines of "SD card mode not enabled, Nothing in card slot." I have updated my softmod via ModMii, updated my cIOS with d2x, Formatted SD to Fat32 multiple times, Tried installing DLC to an emuNand, Made sure I had the shop files, tried different IOS's on load (249,250,251 etc.) using usbloader-gx. I have tried CFG loader and WiiFlow as well. I found some clean WADs (Not from Mariocube) and they process through wad2bin great and even install on my SD to private/wii/data folder as .bins fine, but same issue. NO SD CARD DETECTED. I have tried with a 2gb SD, 16gb SD and a 32gb SD and two seperate Wii's. So my question to those who have got it working, how did you do it and what am I missing? Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Hi Meshie,

Look up my notes in gba temp;
Make sure you connected to the internet once or open the Wii shop channel (still unclear why)
download rb3deluxe
start / close rb3deluxe
download the big wads
install an app which can get your keys from the console
use wad2bin to combine console key and unique gameID with wad file
move them to the sd card

Issue solved! The reason for the No SD in card slot issue is because you cannot have RB3 on the SD card and use the SD at the same time. By putting RB3 on a USB flash drive and loading it with USBloader, I was able to activate SD Mode and load all my DLC. Hope this helps someone

This helped me, thanks. Have you been able to get the RB2 DLC songs (SZA-SZE I think) working in RB3 / RB3 Deluxe? I've had trouble with this. RB3 complains that the tickets for those are outdated or something similar.

Glad this helped! I've gotten a few to work but not all. Still messing around with it. I will let you know if I stumble upon something.
